To celebrate my daughter’s recent first birthday and because I have been prone to episodes of major nostalgia recently I thought I’d do a little reminiscing.
I started my first “official” quilt (as in: I am seriously learning how to do this, no more mucking about) when I was pregnant with my daughter last year. I used the rail fence pattern from Alex Anderson Teaches You to Start Quilting in a beginning quilting class at Eddie’s Quilting Bee. I finished it just after she was born. I have had many false starts but this time quilting finally stuck and I got hooked. So, here it is: the beginning (no jokes about resembling primordial soup…:P)
